'Protego' in Latin means 'I defend' or 'I protect'. The original shield logo exemplifies this well. In conjunction with the 'binary castle' as the shield's crest (which can be decrypted as 'saftey') works as a sort of easter egg. Combined these marks define the technological and fiscal security the Protego brand aims to convey to their audience.

While the initial mark itself is successful in its execution and its overall conceptual narrative, we found that it lacks in two areas: brand recognition and signification. In short, the initial logo was complex, vague and un-relatable. Ultimately the goal of this rebranding was to bridge the gaps between the contemporary aesthetics of tech-forward thinking and institutional finance.
