I wanted to try and help my Dad out for the '20-'21 tax season. He's owned his own tax practice for 30+ years and has never had any sort of web presence. Since my mom passed, he's thrown himself back into work at 80 years old and has struggled to find new clients. Establishing a website with SEO and paid google ads has helped drive traffic to the site and directed new prospective clients to set up appointments. My dad is a big people person and technology is somewhat intimidating for him sometimes, so I wanted to keep the site simple and professional with a hint of an empathetic narrative. I forwent an appointment booking system or a method of accepting payments online and just opted for a super minimal contact form that would put him directly in touch with people via email.
